The new Dacia Spring is built in Slovenia, which the old one never was. Dacia says the whole range will be under £18,000 before subsidies. The sum worth doing is the one after them.

Audi A2 e-tron
The A2 e-tron opens at £32,200, which is £14,060 below anything else Audi will sell you with a plug, and gets 401 miles out of 84 kWh. The most efficient Audi ever built is not, however, the one you get for £32,200.

Kia has built three fast ones and given them all a soundtrack
Kia EV3, EV4 and EV5
EV3 GT, EV4 GT and EV5 GT: one 81.4 kWh battery, a second motor each, 292 PS in two of them and 306 in the third. Every one of them plays you an engine that is not there. Britain gets all three, minus the one shape you might actually have wanted.

LEPAS is Chery's fourth attempt at the UK, and its first electric car is a 279 mile family SUV with a seven year warranty. The interesting bit is what it is not telling us.

The IONIQ 3 starts at £22,245 with no grant at all, and goes further than an IONIQ 5 costing £16,000 more. The savings had to come from somewhere, and they came out of the charging and the heated seats.
