- Length
- No. Longer than the garage by 37 mm, so the door will not shut.
- Width, and getting out
- Only just. 636 mm of width to share between both sides, so a door will not open far enough to climb out comfortably.
- Through the door
- No. Too wide for the opening even with the mirrors folded.
Will the Volvo EX90 fit in my garage?
Measured against a garage 2.6m wide and 5.0m deep, with a 2.13m door opening. (Standard single garage)
Measure your own garage
Measure the inside, not the outside, and measure the door opening at its narrowest.
The size most modern single garages are built to.
How this is worked out
A car is treated as fitting lengthwise with at least 300 mm to spare, so the door can shut and you can get past the back. Getting out assumes a door needs about 600 mm of swing, on top of 150 mm of air beside the body. Folded mirrors are assumed to still stand about 80 mm proud of the bodywork. These are rules of thumb, not standards, so measure before you buy.
